A Letter to My Future Self..

Dear Future Flo,

You’ve come a long way. I’m not sure what other people say to their future selves, but just know that I’m proud of you. Where you are right now as you’re reading this is what I’m working so hard for you to become right now. I know your progress will be so great that looking back on this will be important just to remember how far you’ve come. You were homeless for 3 months this year. You couldn’t find a job that could keep enough food in your belly. You lost almost 10 pounds in 6 months. Be proud of where you are now and where you’ve come from. The struggles we’ve faced in this year of 2017 is building your courage and strength to push for where you are right now.

You’ve gained confidence, wisdom, success, and inspired people along the way. That’s all you’ve ever wanted. You just want to inspire people and better the lives of others. Congratulations, you’ve done it.

Don’t think this journey is over, though. You still have more growing, learning, and inspiring to do. Just don’t forget to stop, breathe, and remember where it all started. I love you. And I look forward to this journey we are embarking on together.

    1. You would think so, but I think I did my most learning and growing during that time! It was scary sometimes but I had a lot of time to really figure out what kind of life I wanted and gave me the motivation to work harder than I’ve ever worked! And the courage to actually start up this blog!

    1. That’s the goal! I’m really excited about it and I love the idea of a future letter to yourself! I learned recently they have websites where you can write the letter and it get emailed to you later in life! That excites me!

  1. Such a lovely post! You’ve definitely come a long way and you should be extremely proud of your achievements! Sitting down and doing something like this is actually such an important thing to do, sometimes we get so caught up in life we forget to acknowledge our achievements.

  3. This is a wonderful post and very true to who you are. I am sorry that you have struggled so much this year, but I am happy to see that you have made it better and that you are strong enough to pull through. Those who struggle the most, end up being the strongest and I am in awe of your strength for making your circumstances better, but also for posting this. Sharing yourself with others is one of the boldest, most amazing forms of strength. I hope that things will continue to improve and you will reach where you want to be! All the luck and best wishes to you! 🙂
